PhD. Gerardo Guillén Nieto

Doctor in Biological Sciences by the University of Habana since 1995, graduated from Bachelor and Master of Chemistry in Odessa (USSR) in 1986. He is a Full Researcher since 2001, Full Academic at the Cuban Academy of Sciences since 2012 , Full Professor of the University of Habana and Distinguished Professor of the University of Electronic Sciences and Technology of China, Chengdu, Sichuan, China, since 2018. Since 1998 he has been Director of Biomedical Investigations of the CIGB.

He has participated in more than 200 scientific congresses and international workshops with the presentation of more than 300 works and more than 50 conferences. He has run over 50 courses. He is the co-author of over 200 publications in international journals and over 50 patents. He has tutored more than 15 theses.

He is Secretary of the Scientific Council of the CIGB. He is the Titular Member of the Cuban Society of Immunology since 1996 and the Honorable Member since 2012. He has been the co-author of more than 50 Annual Awards of the Cuban Academy of Sciences for scientific results. He is a member of numerous courts, academic arbitration committees, scientific advisor, organizing committees, lecturer and expert in different countries, international events and biotechnological companies.
