Invitation

We are pleased to invite you to the VII International Congress on Comprehensive Management of Complex Ulcers and Wounds, September 1st–5th in Varadero, Matanzas, Cuba. Given your experience and expertise in the scientific issues related to conference topics, we would be honored by your participation and hope you will consider presenting your work.

This seventh edition of the Congress has an expanded agenda that will include symposia on two main themes:

Symposium 1: Cellular and molecular bases of physiological and pathological healing

Topics: chronic wounds; poor healing and exuberant healing; growth factors and chemokines; stem cells and regenerative therapy; pathological inflammation and its consequences; wound contraction and microenvironment; granulation: fibroblasts, angiogenesis and remodeling; keratinocytes and epithelialization.

Symposium 2: Comprehensive management and therapeutic approaches to complex wounds and ulcers

Topics: diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of infections; current surgical techniques and therapeutic approaches; new therapeutic research and developments; experiences with infiltration of recombinant human epidermal growth factor; advances in clinical trials, clinical practice and patient rehabilitation; health programs designed for comprehensive patient care; and pharmacoeconomics.

We are expecting experts and global leaders in these fields to join us from more than 20 countries, who will be presenting their results in research and practice, expanding our knowledge on the most advanced, successful approaches to comprehensive management of ulcers and complex wounds. English will be used for conference plenaries, oral presentations and electronic posters, with simultaneous and bilateral Spanish translation.

Varadero is Cuba’s most beautiful beach, making it a spectacular tourist destination, offering visitors the pleasure of nature, science and Cuban culture.

We hope you will be able to join us and contribute your own knowledge and perspectives to this important Congress.

Sincerely,

Organizing Committee
