The Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of Havana (CIGB) and the Organizing Committee have the pleasure to announce second edition of Biocubagro international meeting “Biocubagro 2025: from biotechnological research to agricultural products”. The most recent and novelties results in biotechnology applied to Agriculture will be presented. The conference will cover the proactive relationship of Agriculture-biotechnological research between basic science and applied research.

Cancellation Policy for Registration Fee:

Cancellations to your registration fee must be notified in writing, via email to Belraysa Tours & Travel Group SA through the emails repcuba@belraysatours.com or info@cubaforevents.com. Participants who cancel their registration up to one month before the start of the symposium will receive 100% of the amount paid. The charge associated with refunding/transfer the participant’s money will be deducted from this fee. After this period, participants who cancel their participation will not receive a refund of their fee.

Registration fee for national delegates:

For national researchers, the registration fee for the event is 65,000 CUP. This includes access to all event activities and materials, transportation to and from Havana, and accommodation in a double room. National delegates can register through the event website.

Venue

The Congress will be held at the Convention Center of Meliá International Hotel in Varadero, Cuba. Varadero is the second most important tourist city in the country, with extensive infrastructure for serving visitors. International delegates may fly directly to Varadero International Airport or Havana Airport and book their transfer to the event venue through the event’s tour operator or through regular services available at the airports. The local Organizing Committee will guarantee free of charge bus travel from Havana to Varadero on June 8 for those delegates staying in Havana before June 8 and their return at the end of the event on June 13. For accommodation in Havana we suggest the Grand Aston Havana, Melia Cohiba, ROC Presidente and Vedado/St. John hotels, which can be booked directly with the hotels.

Cancellation Policy for accommodation packages:

Cancellations or modifications to your reservation must be notified in writing, via email to Belraysa Tours & Travel Group SA through repcuba@belraysatours.com or info@cubaforevents.com, for those delegates who accomodate through the pay gateway on the event website.
If the cancellation or modification is in paid status, the following cancellation policy will apply:
– Cancellations received up to 30 days before arrival, 80% of the package will be refunded, with a 20% retention for administrative expenses.
– Cancellations received between 29 and 7 days before arrival, will be penalized with the amount corresponding to the first night of accommodation plus 20% for administrative expenses.
– Cancellations received less than 7 days before arrival: No refund applies.
– The passenger will assume all financial costs associated with the refund.

Independent Lodging Options in Varadero

For participants who prefer to arrange their own accommodations rather than utilizing the tour operator’s offerings, you are welcome to book directly through the website of the Hotel Meliá International Varadero. Additionally, a limited number of rooms have been set aside at the Barceló Solymar Hotel, located next to the Meliá International Hotel, which can also be reserved directly on the hotel’s website.
For those delegates booking through the hotel website, please check the hotel’s own cancellation policy.
