Letter from Organizing Committee BioAqua2026 to postpone to 2027

Dear colleagues and friends,
The Organizing Committee of the International Congress BioAqua 2026: From Basic Research to Applied Science informs you that we have decided to postpone it to next year, 2027.
The main reason is associated with the fact that the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, signed a decree last January that tightens the economic blockade against our country, sanctioning companies and countries that supply fuel to Cuba, which has so far caused an energy and fuel crisis, forcing us to postpone our event.
We are convinced that with international support for our country and the effort of our people, we will overcome this situation and return to normality, allowing us to hold the congress in 2027.
We highly appreciate your willingness to participate in our congress, and we are confident that we will see you next year and will soon invite you to a webinar to celebrate in next April.
Currently, our priority is to continue and increase scientific collaboration with you and your institutions, so we invite you to jointly explore new ways of collaborating and seeking funding for joint projects, convinced that we will continue doing science that brings benefits to our societies and our peoples.

The Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of Havana (CIGB) and the Organizing Committee have the pleasure to announce the four edition of the international meeting “BioAqua2026: from basic research to applied science”. In this conference, the most recent results in aquatic organism’s basic research and biotechnology applied to Aquaculture will be presented. Previous editions were very fruitful in terms of scientific exchanges and opportunities to establish global research networks.
